Partnering

At Immunomedics, developing collaborations and partnerships is a key part of our strategy to successfully leverage our portfolio of therapeutic products and platform technologies. Our objective is to enter into mutually beneficial relationships to advance the development of our novel immunotherapeutics for the treatment of cancer, autoimmune and other serious diseases, as well as working with partners to discover and develop products utilizing their proprietary targets.

Our strategy includes demonstrating proof of concept (POC) for our products prior to leveraging their value through partnerships. We have a robust clinical and pre-clinical pipeline of products currently in development.

We are collaborating with world class pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies such as Nycomed, UCB and GE Healthcare.

Please see our many patents.

Licensing:

We have licensed the subcutaneous formulation of Veltuzumab to Nycomed, GmbH, for all non-cancer indications worldwide. A Phase IIb clinical study in rheumatoid arthritis was recently initiated. We retain the rights to Veltuzumab in cancer indications.  The licensing agreement also provides us with an option to co-promote Veltuzumab for the immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) indication in the United States.

Epratuzumab has been licensed to UCB, S.A., for all autoimmune disease indications worldwide.  We have the rights to all cancer indications. Two Phase III registration studies in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) are currently underway.

Collaborations:

We have entered into collaboration with GE Healthcare for the discovery of novel diagnostic agents using our F-18 labeling platform technology.

We entered into a collaboration with Alexis Biotech Ltd., London, England, to jointly develop targeted vaccines against cancers that include melanoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and infectious diseases, such as AIDS. The development will combine our Dock-and-Lock technology with the proprietary HLA-antibody targeting technology from Alexis Biotech.  Both companies will share in the development costs and we will have first worldwide commercialization rights to products derived from the partnership.

In addition to seeking potential partners for our internal pipeline we are currently seeking partnerships and collaborations for the following platform technologies:

  • F-18 labeling – Non-exclusive licenses are available

  • Dock-and-Lock – Funded POC research collaborations utilizing partner’s targets and/or antibodies

  • Antibody Drug Conjugates – Funded POC research collaborations utilizing partner’s antibodies
